After more than ten years of rapid development, the forklift industry has attracted a large number of investors, making the types of domestic forklift products tend to be "homogeneous". The shortage of high-end forklift products and overcapacity of low-end products have seriously restricted the development of domestic forklift industry. Many forklift companies are looking overseas. However, the bloodbath in the overseas forklift market is no worse than that in China, so it is not easy for domestic forklifts to get a share.

According to the data of the world industrial vehicle Statistics Association, the global forklift sales in 2019 will reach 1.4933 million, which is only 0.26% higher than that of 1.489 million in 2018. In this year, COVID-19 caused global economic recession,at the half of the year, the sales of forklift trucks were seriously affected by the epidemic. During January-April, China's electric counterbalanced forklift sales were only 11069 sets, down 25.76% from the same period last year. With the impact of domestic policies such as work resumption, production resumption and new infrastructure construction, the sales of forklift reached the bottom and rebounded in the second half of the year, and has begun to pick up.

International Energy Network reporter statistics found that from January to October this year, the cumulative sales volume of electric counterbalance driving forklift was 59894 sets, increase of 14.4% compared with 51248 sets in the same period last year. In terms of export, from January to October this year, the cumulative export volume of electric counterbalance driving forklift was 12066 sets, increase of 2.7% compared with 11740 sets in the same period last year. According to statistics, from January to October this year, China exported 142193 sets industrial vehicles, of which only 12066 sts electric counterweight forklifts were exported, accounting for less than one tenth. Therefore, the development of electric forklift in overseas market is very limited. China's forklift industry is in urgent need of "leading big brother" to lead domestic forklifts into the world market.
